The system collects data via drones and ground sensors, which is then analyzed by algorithms to automatically generate recommendations for irrigation, fertilization, and harvesting. Wang Qiang, technical director of Youyoucao Eyu, stated that the company also uses natural language processing technology to automatically capture price fluctuations and supply-demand information from the national Chinese herbal medicine market, assisting management in making procurement and inventory decisions. "Previously, it took over a dozen sales staff calling around to get market quotes; now, AI can generate a complete report in half an hour."

Initially, the company only used AI to optimize logistics routes and reduce transportation costs; later, it expanded to customer profiling, using user behavior data from e-commerce platforms to precisely target product promotions. The local agricultural bureau revealed that over 20 small and medium-sized Chinese herbal medicine enterprises plan to introduce similar systems, and some have even begun jointly developing industry-specific AI models. From "relying on the heavens for food" to "relying on data for decisions," from "remote workshops" to "smart factories," the transformation of Youyoucao Eyu is not just a technological upgrade but also a vivid practice of how regional economies can leverage AI to catch up and surpass.
